BeatEdit analyzes audio using the IBT beat tracker and MARSYAS framework to place beat markers in a Premiere Pro timeline. Markers appear as blue bars and audible clicks, and can be used with Premiere Pro’s Automate to Sequence function to create cuts based on the rhythm. Users can generate sequence markers or clip markers; clip markers are embedded in the audio file and persist when the file is opened in After Effects or another Premiere project. The interface includes a beat info panel showing BPM and selected beat count, and work‑area support lets users add, move, or delete markers within a defined region. BeatEdit is compatible with Adobe Premiere Pro 2026 through 2020, as well as CC 2019, CC 2018, CC 2017 and CC 2015.3, requiring version 2 for Premiere versions 13.1.5 and later.
