About RE:Vision Effects RE:Match
RE:Match extracts color and tone from a reference image and applies it to a target clip, helping users achieve consistent looks across multicam or stereo shoots. The plugin can match using the entire frame or a selected region, and it allows reference frames from any point in time, including stills. A Color Correction Dissolve blends corrections between user‑chosen reference frames, and stored corrections can be copied to other clips. The tool works with high dynamic range footage and supports multiple cuts in a sequence. The separate RE:Match Pro tier adds automatic stereo pair registration using optical flow, occlusion handling, edge‑difference matching, and visualization modes.
Features
- Automatic color matching that color corrects one shot to match another when using multiple takes or cameras
- Matching using the whole image or part of an image, at any point in time
- Color Correction Dissolve between user-selected reference frames along the timeline, with stills usable as references
- Store a color correction and reuse it on other sequences by cut-and-paste of the plug-in to another clip
- Handles over-bright values and very wide dynamic ranges for HDR imagery, and manages more than one cut within a sequence
- RE:Match Pro adds auto image registration via optical flow and occlusion handling for stereo pairs
Best for
Aligning color and tone across multiple camera angles or stereo pairs, and pre‑grading footage to streamline color workflows.
Frequently asked questions
What After Effects and Premiere Pro versions does RE:Match support?

The regular license covers After Effects, Catalyst Edit, DaVinci Resolve, HitFilm, Premiere Pro, and Vegas Pro. The Pro license, sold separately, adds support for Baselight, Flame, Smoke, Fusion Studio, Natron, Nuke, Scratch, Silhouette, and the same Adobe hosts, and can be used alongside a regular‑license installation.
What does RE:Match Pro add over the regular version?
RE:Match Pro includes all regular‑license features and adds stereo‑focused tools: automatic image registration for stereo pairs via per‑pixel optical flow, occlusion handling, frame‑edge difference matching, and visualization modes to display internal processing.
Is the RE:Match crop window available in After Effects?
The crop‑window feature, which limits correction to a smaller pixel region, is not available in the After Effects or Premiere Pro versions of RE:Match. It is only present in certain other host applications.
