About Break It

Break It! enables shattering and breaking of objects directly within After Effects, eliminating the need for extra plugins. Users select a subject, define the number of break sections, and press the break button, then mask the desired break areas. Markers allow timing control for multiple break points. By default, force originates from the center, but the direction and intensity can be adjusted, and separate forces can be assigned to individual pieces. Per-piece parameters include an explosion wave, viscosity, gravity, and particle size and count. Front and back images can be inserted to position the scene behind the break. The plugin is compatible with After Effects versions from CC 2017 through 2026.
