TextDelay is a native After Effects plugin from Plugin Everything that enables delayed animation of text layers by character, word, or line. The plugin keeps the original easing, allowing you to continue using custom curves or easing expressions. Being a compiled plugin rather than a script or preset, it runs quickly and accepts any expressions you add. Order modifiers include reverse, increment, and random, and a range selector lets you pick precisely which characters or words receive the delay. TextDelay works with motion blur and paragraph text, and it delays X and Y position, anchor point, and scale. It does not delay rotation or Z‑axis transformations and is not compatible with parented transformations.
