About CompsFromSpreadsheet 5

CompsFromSpreadsheet 5 is a script for After Effects that builds versions of compositions from a spreadsheet. You arrange data in columns; the script uses a template comp and generates a new comp for each row. Layer names act as instructions: a non‑text layer whose name starts with # is replaced by the project item named in the spreadsheet, and a precomp layer beginning with ! updates its inner layers from the spreadsheet. Replaced composition layers can also receive spreadsheet data. The script lets you define an import directory, adjust composition length based on layer length, and set Output Module and Render Settings from the spreadsheet. Version 5.23 (released 30 July 2025) refreshed the aescripts license code and fixed bugs related to render settings, image‑sequence output, and Excel‑generated double quotes. Compatibility spans After Effects CC 2015.3 through After Effects 2026.
