About PathLink
PathLink transfers Illustrator vectors to After Effects as shapes without losing fidelity, keeping the paths editable for animation or refinement. The workflow operates bidirectionally, allowing designs to move from Illustrator to After Effects and back, with support for gradients, text-on-path, nested groups, clipping masks, Drop Shadow, Gaussian Blur, and Feather effects. Images without linked files are saved in an assets folder beside the After Effects project, and transferred layers start at the current time indicator. PathLink is compatible with After Effects 2026 and 2025 as well as Illustrator 2026 and 2025. Version 1.6.1 was released on April 6, 2026.
