About Plugin Everything Effect Matte

Effect Matte is a matte-generating plugin for Adobe After Effects developed by Plugin Everything. It offers control over expansion (positive and negative values), roundness, feathering, and includes an invert matte option. An Auto Set Matte feature can automatically assign a matte when applied to a layer. The plugin works in 32‑bit per channel color mode and supports both text and video layers. Compatibility spans After Effects CS6 through the 2026 release, including all intermediate Creative Cloud versions. Native support for Apple Silicon (ARM) is provided, and the plugin is compatible with After Effects’ multi‑frame rendering. macOS 10.8 or later is required. Known limitations: continuous rasterization must be enabled, parented layers are supported only in CC 2018, and Auto Set Matte does not function with shape layers.
