About Zoetrope Z COLR

Zoetrope Z COLR is a collection of minimalist animated background generators designed for title backgrounds, slides, color compositing elements and lighting effects. The bundle includes four generators: Z Breath, a two‑channel gradient that expands and contracts; Z Bars, which displays five user‑selected colors as vertical bars moving across the screen; Z CMYK, a CMYK filter with oscillating parameters; and Z Fields, a soft five‑color gradient that oscillates along a vertical or horizontal axis. Each generator offers a preset system and an integrated color picker that works with resources like Adobe Kuler. The plugins run on macOS through the Noise Industries FxFactory platform, supporting both Apple Silicon and Intel processors, and are available in After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro X and Motion.

• Z Breath: a two-channel gradient similar to a vignette whose inner color expands and contracts over time, staying subtle at slow speeds and approaching a flicker at fast speeds for film projection or lighting effects, with a freely resizable inner shape for asymmetric compositions
• Z Bars: five user-selected colors expressed as vertical bars meandering across the screen at various ratios, sizes and relationships, with dozens of well-known palette presets included
• Z CMYK: a CMYK filter applied over color gradient sources with oscillators modulating key parameters over time; control speed and oscillator type, or keyframe any parameter
• Z Fields: a soft, oscillating five-color gradient on the vertical or horizontal axis using the same color engine as Z Bars, with adjustable oscillation and color mix over time
• Preset system across the generators for exploring factory settings and creating and saving your own looks
