About circuitFX

circuitFX creates graphic representations of circuit boards within After Effects. Each press of the generate button produces a new random layout of circuit lines, circles, chips, resistors, and capacitors. Users may keep all elements in one shape layer or allocate each component type to its own layer. The plugin offers Grid X and Grid Y controls to adjust grid density, and a “Using Masks” mode that lets you draw masks on a grid guide to confine circuit generation to specific areas. Version 1.91, released in October 2024, added faster generation, a static seed for reproducible results, and a fix for mask‑mode generation issues. The tool is aimed at technology‑themed, sci‑fi, HUD, and animated‑background projects.
