About Paint Link

Paint Link, developed by a + a plugins, establishes a dynamic connection between After Effects and Photoshop to enable frame‑by‑frame animation workflows. It is compatible with After Effects versions 2022 through 2026 and Photoshop versions 2022 through 2025. The link relies on Photoshop’s Remote Connections feature; users must enable Remote Connections in Photoshop’s plugin preferences and set the password to “aescripts”, while also disabling profile‑mismatch prompts in Color Settings. Version 1.0.8 introduces a VFX mode checkbox and removes the previous Add VFX keyframe button. The plugin can detect incomplete or incorrect installations and provides guidance for correction. It is listed as free, though licensing terms should be verified on the developer’s site.
