About 3D to 2D ScreenSpace
3D to 2D ScreenSpace is a free plugin for Adobe After Effects that translates a 3D point into a 2D null positioned in the same screen‑space. After selecting a 3D layer, the user can click Link to attach an expression‑driven null, or click Bake to immediately convert that expression into keyframes, producing a static keyframe‑based null. Both options start from the same selection, allowing choice between live updates and baked animation. The plugin is compatible with legacy After Effects releases CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4 and CS3. A demo video is provided for preview before installation.
Features
- Takes a 3D position and creates an animated 2D null in its relative 2D screen-space
- ‘Link’ ties a new null to the 3D point with an expression
- ‘Bake’ converts the expression to keyframes straight away
- Works from a selected 3D layer
- Compatible with After Effects CS6 through CS3
Best for
After Effects users working with legacy versions who need to create a 2D null that mirrors a 3D layer’s screen‑space position, either as a live expression or as baked keyframes.
