About Node Quick Maths

Node Quick Maths, version 1.2.2 by Zeptofine, adds a dialog to Blender’s node editors that builds a full math‑node tree from a single expression. After invoking the default Ctrl + M shortcut, type an expression (e.g., sin(x + 64) % (y ** 14 + 10)) and confirm to generate the node network. The add‑on recognises standard operators (+, -, *, /, **, <, >, %) and every function available in Blender’s Math node, including logarithms, roots, trigonometric functions, rounding, min/max, smooth min/max, compare, and radian/degree conversion. It operates in the Shader, Geometry Node, Texture, and Compositor editors and is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer. Released under the GNU GPL v3.0 or later, the package is approximately 21.9 KB and requires no special permissions.

Features

  • Generates a chain of math nodes from a typed mathematical expression
  • Default keyboard shortcut Ctrl + M opens the expression input dialogue
  • Supports standard operators: + – * / ** < > and modulo (%)
  • Includes every function from Blender’s Math node — log, sqrt, abs, exp, min/max, smooth min/max, compare, rounding, trigonometric functions, and radian/degree conversion
  • Works in the Shader Editor, Geometry Node Editor, Texture Node Editor, and Compositor
  • Requires no special permissions

Best for

Blender artists who need to create long math node chains quickly and prefer typing expressions over manually wiring nodes.
