About AE Voice Recorder
AE Voice Recorder is an After Effects extension that captures voice and audio straight on the timeline. Users set the start point, press a record button, and the preview plays while audio is recorded from a computer mic, webcam mic, headset, or external microphone. The interface centers on a single record button for start and stop functions. The extension includes Speech To Text, which transcribes any audio layer into text for subtitles in multiple languages, and Set Subtitle, which builds subtitle tracks from that text or manually entered captions. Text To Speech can generate spoken audio from text, and Text Translator provides translation of extracted or entered text for subtitle use. It supports After Effects versions CC 2017 through 2026 on Windows; macOS support is not yet available. A demo video demonstrates the workflow.
