About Colume

Colume is a GPU‑accelerated plugin for After Effects that generates gradients in 3‑D space based on scene lights. The effect is fully compatible with the camera and does not depend on the light type. Users can select the color space and interpolation mode, and optionally limit the effect to lights whose names begin with “color”. Gradients can be blended with spatial turbulence, with controls for turbulence strength, map scale, phase shift and speed. The plugin runs on After Effects 2026, 2025, 2024, and 2023. Version 1.1, released 23 April 2026, fixed a Windows startup error. A demo video demonstrates its capabilities.
