About Drastic Technologies MediaReactor Workstation
MediaReactor Workstation is a direct‑plugin version of Drastic’s MediaReactor translation system. It enables editors to read and write across Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Encoder, plus plugin interfaces for Filmworkz Nucoda, Autodesk Flame, Smoke, Lustre, Assimilate SCRATCH, Avid Media Composer, Symphony, NewsCutter and QuickTime‑based players. The tool supports on‑the‑fly high‑quality conversion from formats such as OMF JPEG to camera acquisition codecs from Weisscam, Phantom, Sony and ARRI, avoiding separate transcoding steps. On macOS it integrates deeply with QuickTime, exposing codecs, image and movie importers/exporters and low‑level handlers so QuickTime‑enabled apps can handle still sequences (DPX, Cineon, ARI, DNG) with metadata, multi‑track audio/video, timecode and closed captioning. A live‑event feature allows edit‑while‑recording into Media Composer or Premiere when paired with compatible recorders such as Net‑X‑Code Server, Drastic DDR or XOS Hurricane Replay. The software runs on Windows 7 or later and macOS 13 Ventura through macOS 15 Sequoia.
