About FilmConvert Nitrate for After Effects and Premiere Pro
FilmConvert Nitrate provides film stock emulations and grain modeling within After Effects and Premiere Pro. It analyzes the camera that captured the footage and adapts each stock to that camera’s color science, with dedicated camera packs for major manufacturers. The suite includes Cineon Log versions of the stock emulations, allowing contrast and saturation adjustments while preserving film colors. Full custom curve controls let users modify highlights, shadows, and individual channels through a LOG processing pipeline. Grain is modeled per color and exposure, with separate controls for highlights, midtones, shadows, softness, and saturation. Grades can be exported as 3D LUTs for on‑set monitor visualization or sharing. Halation is offered as a separate add‑on.
