About InkBloom

InkBloom is a free plugin for Adobe After Effects that simulates the bleeding of ink using a procedural watercolor system. The effect produces natural ink flow and organic blending within compositions. Users can define up to eight ink colors, each with separate strength settings, and apply a directional force to shape the movement. Three texture types, including a paper option, are available to alter the visual background. All parameters, including time control, are fully keyframeable, allowing animation over the duration of a comp. InkBloom is compatible with After Effects 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026. Version 1.1, released on May 16, 2026, is a bug‑fix update to the initial March 2026 release. The plugin is suited for creating backgrounds, transitions, and other motion‑graphics elements.
