About MASKit

MASKit is a script for Adobe After Effects that transforms custom vector shapes created with the Pen Tool into masks. After importing a vector graphic and converting it to a shape layer, you can generate masks with a single click. The script allows adjustment of position, scale, and rotation before mask creation and can process multiple shape layers simultaneously. Generated masks use the Add mode by default, which can be changed later. Optional helper buttons include SNAPit, which orients masks to match the original shape structure, and CENTERit, which centers selected shape layers. MASKit does not operate on native Ellipse, Rectangle, or Polygon shapes. It is compatible with After Effects 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. A demo video is provided by the developer.
