NatuRamp is a free After Effects plugin that creates procedural, natural gradients with uneven, non‑linear color spreads, offering Atmosphere, Organic, and Mineral modes plus color infiltration and scatter controls.
Developed by grape design.

About NatuRamp
NatuRamp is an After Effects plugin for generating procedural, natural gradients. Unlike standard After Effects gradients that spread color evenly, NatuRamp produces non‑linear, uneven transitions for a more organic look. It provides three modes: Atmosphere, which creates layered, light‑scattering color transitions inspired by sky and air; Organic, which drives growth‑based color flows resembling petals, leaves, or tissue; and Mineral, which forms weathered, uneven transitions shaped by erosion and oxidation. Additional controls let users adjust color infiltration for dynamic changes and a Scatter control for spatial noise. Version 1.0 runs on After Effects 2026, 2025, 2024, and 2023. A demo video demonstrates the modes and controls.
Features
- Procedural, natural gradient generation with non-linear color spread beyond standard After Effects gradients
- Atmosphere mode: layered, light-scattering color transitions inspired by the sky and air
- Organic mode: growth-driven color flow that spreads like petals, leaves, or living tissue
- Mineral mode: weathered, uneven transitions shaped by erosion, oxidation, and material change
- Adjustable color infiltration for dynamic transitions
- Controlled, spatial noise via the Scatter control
- Simple, intuitive controls
Best for
After Effects artists who need natural, uneven color gradients beyond what standard AE gradients provide.
Frequently asked questions
Which After Effects versions does NatuRamp support?
NatuRamp works with After Effects 2026, 2025, 2024, and 2023.
What are the Atmosphere, Organic, and Mineral modes in NatuRamp?
Atmosphere creates layered, light‑scattering transitions inspired by the sky; Organic produces growth‑driven flows like petals or leaves; Mineral generates weathered, uneven transitions shaped by erosion and oxidation.
How is NatuRamp different from standard After Effects gradients?
Standard AE gradients produce even, linear color spreads, while NatuRamp generates procedural, natural gradients with uneven, non‑linear transitions and adds controls for color infiltration and spatial noise.
Is NatuRamp free to use?
The catalog lists NatuRamp as free, but users should verify the current licensing terms on the developer’s page before use.
