About Shape Shifters
Shape Shifters is a free plugin from Motion by Nick that provides a virtual pet inside Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop. The pet gains experience and levels up to a defined maximum, with progress saved to a file on your system. If the pet is neglected it can die, although an “Unlimited PTO” perk can be unlocked to prevent that outcome. Version 1.02, released December 9 2025, fixes a bug that caused the pet to die even when the perk was active and resolves earlier save‑file corruption issues. The plugin is designed for designers who want a playful distraction alongside their Adobe workflow.
