About Sheffield Softworks Vintage

Sheffield Softworks Vintage mathematically recreates the conditions of historic color film processes that used colored filters and separate black‑and‑white exposures. It supports three techniques: Technicolor 3‑Strip (full RGB), Technicolor 2‑Strip (red and green), and Multicolor (red and blue). Each technique offers a normal mode with adjustable parameters and a quick mode that renders faster without parameter control. The plugin operates through Noise Industries FxFactory, a free download, and is compatible with After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, as well as Final Cut Pro X and Motion. It runs on macOS systems using either Apple Silicon or Intel processors, sharing the same system requirements as the FxFactory host.

Features

  • Technicolor 3 Strip mode, recording red, green, and blue for the full technicolor spectrum
  • Technicolor 2 Strip mode, recording the red and green images
  • Multicolor mode, recording the red and blue images
  • Normal and quick modes for each process, with quick rendering faster but without adjustable settings
  • Color derived by mathematically recreating the conditions of each original film process
  • Runs through Noise Industries FxFactory across After Effects, Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve on Apple Silicon and Intel processors
