About Ticker

Ticker is an After Effects plugin from KiwiVFX for building on-screen tickers and crawls. It generates content from starter templates formatted in CSV, TSV, or JSON and can create a ticker or crawl in two clicks. Full right-to-left (RTL) support is included, handling RTL scripts directly. Version 1.8.7 adds separate color and bold settings for titles, text, and separators via a color picker, and introduces animation types such as bottom‑to‑top, top‑to‑bottom, and parabolic motion. Tooltips display minimum, maximum, and default values, and the update includes bug fixes for RTL characters, motion blur, drop‑shadow transitions, and crawl backgrounds. Compatibility spans from CS5, CS5.5, CS6 through CC releases up to After Effects 2024. A free trial limits usage to five lines, and a demo video demonstrates the workflow.
