About YY_Voronoi

YY_Voronoi generates Voronoi diagrams inside After Effects, providing textures suitable for terrain maps, water caustics, or abstract backgrounds. It offers multiple color calculation modes, Euclidean and Manhattan distance metrics, and dispersion settings that can use the current layer’s pixels. Horizontal and vertical tiling are adjustable via Repeat X and Repeat Y, and an Evolution parameter lets you animate cells with optional looping. Version 2 introduces a redesigned algorithm and native code for faster rendering while maintaining full backwards compatibility. The plugin runs on After Effects versions from CS5 through 2024 and supports Apple M1 hardware on macOS.
