KBar, developed by KraftyFX, provides configurable toolbars inside After Effects. Users can create up to four toolbars, each reachable via keyboard modifiers, and open up to four toolbar windows simultaneously. Supported button types include effect buttons, script file buttons, shell‑script buttons, and extension buttons with custom arguments; spacer and text buttons (up to 16 characters) aid layout. Buttons can be reordered by drag‑and‑drop, cloned with shift‑drag, and toolbars switched via a dropdown menu. Toolbars can snap to the left or right edge for vertical mode and are shareable through bulk import/export. Compatibility spans After Effects 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, and CC 2019, with a custom toolbar file location and optional tooltips.
