About Render Brain

Render Brain is a free background renderer for After Effects, developed by VDODNA. It runs renders in the background on a single workstation or across multiple machines on a network, allowing you to continue working in After Effects. Renders can be split across nodes or shared, and the network setup requires only a single click. The free tier provides local background rendering, while a Pro tier adds a Network Multi‑Machine Renderer that enables mixed Mac and Windows render nodes, multi‑frame splitting, and queue splitting. Render Brain uses the native After Effects render engine rather than Adobe Media Encoder and includes live monitoring, render control, and format conversion for H.264, ProRes, MXF and other codecs. Compatibility is listed for After Effects version 13.0 (CC2018) and newer, with optimal performance on the 2024 release and later.
