About Video Copilot Twitch

Video Copilot Twitch is an After Effects plug‑in that generates random‑timed values (“twitches”) to drive six built‑in operators: Blur, Color, Light, Scale, Slide and Time. Each operator can be toggled on or off and has individual controls for speed, amount and an optional random seed, while a master amount and speed slider lets you keyframe multiple operators together. The plug‑in ships with 25 effect presets, seven video tutorials and ten free sound effects. Compatibility covers After Effects 7, CS3 through CS6 and Creative Cloud releases including 2022 and later, but Multi‑Frame Rendering is not supported in CC 2022. On M‑series (M1) Macs the plug‑in runs only under the Rosetta version of After Effects, which is unavailable from AE 2024 onward.

Features

  • Six built-in operators with unlimited uses, each with an on/off switch and individual controls over Speed, Amount and an optional random seed value, driven by a master Amount and Speed slider

Frequently asked questions

Does Video Copilot Twitch work on M-series (M1) Macs?

Yes, Twitch works on M‑series Macs only when After Effects is run under Rosetta. Because AE 2024 dropped Rosetta support, an M‑series user must use an After Effects version earlier than 2024 to run the plug‑in.

What After Effects versions does Twitch support?

Twitch supports After Effects 7, CS3, CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6 and Creative Cloud versions, including releases up to 2022 and later, with the caveat that Multi‑Frame Rendering is not supported in CC 2022 and Rosetta is required for M‑series Macs.

Does Twitch support Multi-Frame Rendering in After Effects CC 2022?

No. Twitch does not support Multi‑Frame Rendering in After Effects CC 2022. Users relying on MFR in that version will need to disable it or use a different plug‑in for those renders.

Is Video Copilot Twitch free?

The catalog lists Twitch as free. No price is provided, but licensing terms may change, so users should verify the current status on the developer’s site before downloading.
