About Auto Crop 3

Auto Crop 3 is a native plugin for After Effects that trims a composition to fit the layers it contains. It operates directly on the active composition, eliminating the need for precomposing, and can process several compositions simultaneously when they are selected in the project panel. An optional expansion step allows layers outside the original bounds to be included before cropping. The Script UI panel is customizable, the plugin supports KBar shortcuts, and a startup script exposes a function for external script calls. Apple silicon Macs are supported, and the plugin runs on After Effects versions from CS6 through the 2026 release, including CC and year‑numbered editions. A demo video demonstrates its workflow.
