About Auto Crop

Auto Crop is a native After Effects plugin that resizes a composition to the dimensions of its visible content. It can crop at the current frame or analyze the full duration to avoid losing any animated detail. The plugin uses the alpha channel of every layer, including partially visible pixels, to calculate pixel‑perfect bounds. It adjusts all instances of a composition used in other comps so the new size does not affect visual output, and it can expand and crop simultaneously when layers move outside the original bounds. Rebuilt as a native plugin, Auto Crop offers faster processing even when handling multiple layers. Customization includes a layer menu with keyboard shortcuts, an optional script UI panel, and a preferences screen. It supports After Effects versions from CS6 through the 2025 release.
