About cebas psd-manager

cebas psd-manager adds each render element of a 3ds Max scene as a separate layer or channel in a PSD file. Presets and automatic sorting arrange layers correctly, while manual controls let you adjust blending modes and ordering. Version 5 introduces a Save Now workflow that lets you write the framebuffer and masks at any point, not only after a render finishes. The plugin supports V-Ray 5‑7, Corona, Scanline, FStorm, Redshift and mental ray, with added GPU renderer support for FStorm, Redshift and V‑Ray GPU. Its Deep‑Data Masks (MatteShooter) generate hundreds of anti‑aliased masks from objects, materials, 3ds Max layers or named selection sets, but require V‑Ray or Scanline. Exported PSDs are smaller and saved faster, enabling flexible post‑production editing.

Features

  • Outputs each render element in a scene as a single PSD layer or channel, with per-element control over whether and how it is exported
  • Presets and automatic layer sorting for the correct layer order, plus manual control of blending modes and layer order
  • Deep-Data Masks (MatteShooter): hundreds of anti-aliased masks from objects, materials, 3ds Max layers or named selection sets, using little memory; requires V-Ray or Scanline
  • V-Ray support with direct access to the V-Ray Framebuffer, mask generation from deep data, MultiMattes split into multiple layers or channels and automatically named, and saving of raw and denoised results
  • Save Now workflow to save the framebuffer and masks at any time, not only after rendering completes
  • Adds selections or layers for each chosen object or material to the final PSD
  • Broad renderer support: V-Ray, Corona, Scanline, FStorm, Redshift and mental ray
