About Geometric Filter

Geometric Filter transforms video layers into a geometric approximation by tracing contours and similar regions with a custom proximity‑matching algorithm, producing results resembling hand‑drawn styles. The plugin includes twenty style presets and six primitives—lines, curves, triangles, squares, circles, rectangles—and offers controls for shape count, size, growth, line width, fill, opacity, angle range, recursion steps, luminosity limits, fade behavior, grid randomization, and a Filter Intensity setting. A Composite On Original option lets the effect overlay the source image. Version 1.2.1 adds the intensity control and runs on After Effects and Premiere Pro releases from CS6 through 2026. It targets artists creating hand‑drawn looks for music videos, visualizations, and VJ performances.
