About Network Clipboard

Network Clipboard is a copy‑and‑paste utility that transfers comps, layers, lights, geometry, cameras and node networks between After Effects (CC 2017‑2025), Cinema 4D (R19‑2025), Houdini (17‑21) and Maya (2018‑2023) across a studio network. Users select items, press copy, and any other workstation can paste them either into a project or directly into the active composition. The tool retains an unlimited copy history, allows the clipboard directory to be set via an environment variable, and lets the username on copies be overridden. Floating‑license support is built in, and After Effects gains FBX import capability. The plugin runs on the listed versions of each host application; compatibility with newer releases is not guaranteed.
