About vAEriable
vAEriable is a calculation script for Adobe After Effects. Users can type values or load them directly from the timeline, then solve arithmetic, algebra, and cross‑multiplication problems. The script can pull a selected mask’s bounding‑box size, a selected layer’s size, or the dimensions of a selected composition or footage item in the Project panel. It also supports array values and can copy either the true or absolute value of a result. Version 1.1.0 adds a one‑click compare function: with the top fields empty, select two keyframes or matching properties across layers and click Calculate to open a comparison window. A standalone script (Calc‑vAEr.jsxbin) provides the same comparison capability without the panel and can be assigned to a hotkey or used with KBar. vAEriable supports After Effects versions 2020 through 2026.
