About ColorFlow
ColorFlow is a script for After Effects that automates color application across a composition. It can apply source colors or Fill effects to text, shapes, solids, footage, compositions, and the comp background. Users can Ctrl/Cmd‑click a color to select every layer using it, Shift‑click to apply it to a stroke, or right‑click to add a Fill effect. Label controls follow the same pattern, letting you select layers by label, toggle shy mode, or exclude a label. Palettes can be imported from Adobe Colors, Coolors.co, or CSS, JSON, and plain‑text files; the script extracts hex codes, removes duplicates, and adds them to a palette. It generates Complementary, Triadic, Analogous, and Tetradic harmonies. Live Color Link creates a ColorFlow Master Null that drives layer colors via expressions; Alt‑Right Click unlinks and bakes colors back to static values. In After Effects 2024 and newer, palette colors can be applied to native 3D models and parametric meshes through Base Color and Material Assignment properties.
