About Power Hyperboloid

Power Hyperboloid is a freeware plugin for After Effects that generates a 3D hyperboloid whose shape is driven by power controls. It adds elliptic distortion and unfolding for additional form manipulation, and provides rich shading, self‑shadowing, reflections, and depth of field. The plugin works with composition lights and the camera, using the existing lighting and camera setup in a composition. Version 1.0.2, released in January 2025, introduced Apple Silicon compatibility and multi‑frame rendering. The plugin supports After Effects versions from CS6 through 2026, including the CC series and releases from 2017 to 2025.
