About Zoetrope DFISH

Zoetrope DFISH corrects barrel distortion from professional fisheye lenses and action‑camera footage, converting curved images into straight, wide‑angle output. The algorithm provides separate parameters for the inner and outer lens regions, allowing more accurate correction across lenses that do not distort uniformly. The effect is OpenGL‑accelerated, using native macOS graphics to render corrections in real‑time during playback. A horizon correction control compensates for off‑axis camera mounting, and a crop option removes edge artifacts when working with extreme fisheye lenses. DFISH includes presets for common action cameras and fisheye lenses, and users can save custom presets for repeated use. The plugin operates through Noise Industries FxFactory and is compatible with both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs in Final Cut Pro X, Motion, After Effects, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
