About YouTube Assistant
YouTube Assistant is a panel for Adobe After Effects 16.0+, Premiere Pro 13.0+ and Audition 12.0+ that searches YouTube and returns video, audio, livestream and subtitle results. Users can preview items in a mini player or external browser, choose video quality, and download full clips, audio‑only files, or subtitles in SRT format. When a video uses an unsupported codec, the panel can invoke FFmpeg for transcoding, but FFmpeg must be installed separately. The current version is 4.11.17, updated November 2024. The developer requests that users obtain permission before downloading copyrighted material and provides an email address for support.
