About Character Builder 2

Character Builder 2 is a character‑creation plugin for Adobe After Effects. It provides a library of more than 400 demo characters that can be used as starting points or built from scratch using interchangeable parts such as shirts, pants, shoes, hair, beards, hats, glasses, gloves, earrings, ears, eyes, pupils, eyebrows, mouths and noses. Characters can be viewed from six directions, and over 100 of the included figures are already rigged. The plugin supports the Duik Bassel rigging structure and works with Limber, offering flexibility for different workflow setups. Compatibility is listed for After Effects 2026, 2025, 2024, 2023 and 2020. The interface is designed for ease of use, allowing artists to assemble and rig characters directly within After Effects.
