About Foldspace

Foldspace is a GPU‑accelerated plugin for Adobe After Effects that enables the creation, editing, and animation of 3D curved surfaces directly inside compositions. It generates geometry with bends and curves that native After Effects tools cannot produce. The UI offers controls for shaping each surface, animatable control points that can be attached to other layers for dynamic rigs, and a per‑surface material system where any layer may be used as a texture. Version 1.2.0 adds selectable render passes (Final Render, Depth, World‑Space Normals, View‑Space Normals, UV), camera selection for any composition camera, HiDPI UI rendering on Retina displays, and fixes for project import and UV texture mapping. The plugin is compatible with After Effects CC 2019 through the 2026 release.
