About Text At Marker

Text At Marker is an After Effects script that links custom text animation to layer or composition markers. It lets you specify how many and which words, characters, or lines animate at each marker, using either a delay or the marker itself. You can group animations by adding a number to a marker and choose from six directions: Default, Reversed, Outwards, Inwards, Random, or User Defined (ordering via layer name). Multiple effect instances can be stacked, with individual keyframes and easing adjustments. Only one effect instance is allowed per layer, and only markers within the work area are affected. The script works with After Effects CC 2020 and newer, including versions 2020 through 2026, and requires the Expressions Engine set to JavaScript. Installation and licensing are handled through the aescripts + aeplugins manager or by copying the script file into the ScriptUI Panels folder.
