About Isomatic FX

Isomatic FX adds isometric capabilities to After Effects in two distinct modes: a faked 2D workflow and a true 3D workflow. In the faked 2D mode, Left, Right, and Top buttons apply an isometric look to a layer, while three movement axis sliders and a position expression let you constrain and animate the layer. Since version 1.6 the isometry buttons toggle on a second click, removing the effect but preserving the sliders and expression. The plugin runs on a broad span of After Effects releases, from CS6 through the 2026 version. Licensing moved to a v4 framework in version 1.8, with version 1.8.2 fixing related issues, and floating license support was introduced in 1.6.2.
