About Photolapse

Photolapse is an After Effects plugin designed to generate the Flash Cut effect using user‑provided images. Users select images, create individual masks, and set timing and order, with an instant preview to assess the sequence before finalizing. After finalization, the plugin offers particle‑style animation for the completed photolapse. Compatibility spans After Effects 2025 back to CC 2015, covering releases from 2024 through 2020 and CC 2019 to CC 2015. The developer notes that versions earlier than CC 2015 are untested. Photolapse was released as version 1.0 in November 2023 and is listed as free in this catalog.
