Spring Ease is an After Effects plugin that animates layers toward targets using a virtual spring, allowing control over elasticity, frequency, and settling time to create inertia‑driven, bouncy motion, with a simple UI and a camera helper.
Developed by grape design.
About Spring Ease
Spring Ease adds a target‑based animation system to After Effects. Elements are directed toward chosen targets and move with inertia and bounce, shaped by a virtual spring whose elasticity, frequency, and settling time are user‑adjustable. The resulting motion mimics UI‑style spring dynamics. A built‑in camera helper creates a camera with preset position and point‑of‑interest, streamlining basic camera setups. The plugin features a minimal interface and is available in version 1.0, released September 2025. Compatibility includes After Effects 2026, 2025, 2024, and 2023. A demo video is provided on the developer’s site.
Features
- Target-based animation system that moves layers toward targets
- More natural motion paths influenced by inertia and bounce
- Adjustable elasticity, frequency, and settling time on the virtual spring
