Trim N Collect is a script for After Effects that trims the media used in a project and prepares it for archive or exchange. It focuses on cleanup and packaging, trimming footage to only what the project uses and collecting the results into an organized file set. The script transcodes image sequences (except EXR) and OpenEXR sequences using preset templates chosen based on alpha channel presence, with options to add handles, consolidate gaps, automatically merge overlapping media, or skip transcoding full‑range media. It creates folders automatically and runs export scripts to set up a folder structure and project bit depth. Additionally, it can copy entire image and OpenEXR sequences unchanged and collect Cinema 4D files without their dependencies, while offering customizable extensions for naming output files.
