Bend Face is a free Blender add‑on that lets you rotate or move selected mesh faces around any edge or along the face normal, with live mouse dragging, numeric input and quick‑key presets.
Developed by KushiroCG.

About Bend Face
Bend Face operates on selected mesh faces in Blender, highlighting the nearest edge with yellow lines. Left‑mouse dragging rotates the faces around that edge, while right‑mouse dragging moves them along it. Press F to enable Face Normal Mode, which shows the normal direction for rotation or movement. Exact angles or distances can be entered in the Left‑Bottom menu, and the last mouse action can be edited there as well. Continuous mode keeps the tool active until Q or Esc is pressed, though an Addon Preference can make the tool close after a single use. Quick rotation hotkeys (1‑4) apply preset angles (30°, 45°, 60°, 90°) and toggle to negative values on repeated presses. The Rotate Extrude option creates a user‑defined number of edge‑loop copies between the original and transformed faces, facilitating bended meshes. An experimental Sliding Rotation mode (S) slides vertices while rotating a single face.
Features
- Rotate or move selected faces by any edge, with the closest edge shown as yellow lines
- Face Normal Mode (F key) to rotate or move faces along the face normal
- Rotate Extrude option that creates edge-loops between the original and transformed face via a number of copies
- Numeric input for exact angle or distance in the Left-Bottom menu, which can also modify the last action
- Quick rotation hotkeys on number keys 1 to 4 for preset angles, with a repeat press for the negative value
- Continuous mode that stays active until Q or Esc, switchable in Addon Preferences
- Experimental Sliding Rotation (S key) that slides vertices while rotating a single face
Best for
Blender modelers who need precise, viewport‑based control for bending and extruding faces while building curved geometry.
Frequently asked questions
Does Bend Face work with Blender 4.0?
Yes. Version 4.8.0 includes a fix for Blender 4.0 compatibility, and earlier releases (4.7.0) added support for Blender 4.0.0.
How do I confirm or exit a bend in Bend Face?
Press Q or Esc to confirm or cancel the current bend. The tool can stay active (continuous mode) or close after one action depending on the Addon Preference setting.
How does Rotate Extrude work in Bend Face?
Rotate Extrude creates edge‑loops between the original face and the transformed face. Set the number of copies in the Left‑Bottom menu, optionally combine with Face Normal Mode and Axis Offset to generate bended extrusions.
What are the quick rotation hotkeys in Bend Face?
While in continuous mode, the number keys 1, 2, 3, 4 set preset rotation angles (30°, 45°, 60°, 90°). Pressing the same key again flips the angle to its negative value.
Is Bend Face free?
The catalog lists Bend Face as free, but licensing terms may change. Check the developer’s page for the current pricing and usage conditions.
