About HUE

HUE is a Blender add‑on designed to streamline vertex‑color workflows. It displays vertex colors, including alpha, in both object and edit modes and organizes its painting utilities in a side‑panel accessed with the N key. The tool set includes fill, randomize, gradient generation, smooth, and color‑by‑selection, all supporting edit‑mode selections for points, edges, or faces. A customizable palette system shares swatches across tools, and add‑on preferences allow default settings for each tool. RGBA color masking lets users limit modifications to specific channels, useful when different channels store distinct shader data. HUE works with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer.
