About AE Actions

AE Actions is a ScriptUI panel for Adobe After Effects developed by Shiraz Syed. It captures timeline operations, layer modifications, keyframes, effects, expressions and presets, storing them as reusable action sets. Both project‑level and timeline actions are supported, allowing recorded steps to be applied across multiple compositions. Recording uses a live‑polling mode and includes a step inspector for reviewing and editing captured actions. Users can apply actions to selected layers or batch‑apply them to all comps, with options for keyframe offset and apply modes. A folder system, per‑set notes, annotations and import/export of libraries help organize sets, while an FFX auto‑index and remapper handle presets. Version 1.0.7 improves playback reliability, startup speed, action‑set organization, and adds folder controls, a combined search/filter row, and a tabbed Help panel. Compatibility spans After Effects 2026 through 2020.
