About Dehancer Film Emulation
Dehancer Film Emulation is a plugin suite created by Dehancer that reproduces analog film aesthetics across a range of video and photo applications. It supports After Effects, DaVinci Resolve (via OFX) and Premiere Pro on macOS and Windows, with additional builds for Final Cut Pro (macOS), Baselight (macOS, Linux), Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Capture One and Affinity (macOS, Windows). The library includes 60+ photographic and motion picture film profiles, 130+ camera log profiles, and specialty processes such as Fujifilm Instax, Polaroid, Prokudin‑Gorskiy, Ambrotype and ORWO. Each film is captured in three exposures; the Push/Pull tool allows intermediate adjustments. The suite also adds film‑specific effects—grain (8, 16, 35, 65 mm profiles), halation (eight profiles), bloom, film breath, damage and overscan—plus print film and DI paper simulations. Minimum Mac hardware is a mid‑2012 model with a Metal‑capable GPU; the plugin runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, with multi‑GPU support for the latter.
