About Dither Decay
Dither Decay, developed by MEGAKRUNCH, is a plugin for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro that applies authentic dithering algorithms to turn footage into a grungy, pixelated appearance. It provides three dithering methods—Atkinson, Stucki, and Sierra—and two adjustable parameters, Seed and Blend, to fine‑tune the effect. The plugin is compatible with After Effects and Premiere Pro releases from CS6 through the 2026 versions, covering a wide range of legacy and current installations. Version 1.1.1 addresses a crash that could occur when viewing plugin information in After Effects and improves licensing stability and error handling. Dither Decay is listed as free in this catalog, though licensing terms may be updated by the developer.
