About FontMixer

FontMixer lets Adobe‑creative users combine up to one hundred fonts into a single fmx_*.ttf file. Users add TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2 fonts, assign a name, then build, save and install the file. After installation the Text panel lists the new fmx_ fonts; editing preview text updates styles instantly. The extension can create a new text layer with a selected font, inject an expression into an existing layer, or apply a font by clicking it while a layer is selected. A slider in the layer‑effects panel enables rapid typeface switching. Only numbers and Latin letters are supported, and the generated fonts use unused Unicode ranges, making them unreadable as ordinary text and unsuitable for other applications. Large font packs increase file size and may destabilise older Adobe versions. Compatibility includes After Effects 2026‑2020, Illustrator 2026‑2020, Photoshop 2026‑2020 and InDesign 2026‑2022.
