About FontShaper

FontShaper is a script from GothLab that enables the use of fonts in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop without installing the fonts on the system. It is compatible with After Effects versions CC 2018 through 2024, Illustrator versions CC 2018 through 2024, and Photoshop versions CC 2018 through 2023. Fonts can be sourced from Google Fonts using a required Google API key, or from a local fonts folder that supports a single level of subfolders (digits in font names are not recommended). The script provides controls for font style, fill rule, and line position, and includes a temporary folder setting. Installation is possible via the aescripts + aeplugins manager or manually with a ZXP installer, and After Effects requires the “Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network” preference to be enabled.
